We affirm our concern for Lebanon’s security and stability: Saudi Crown Prince

HRH Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince, and Prime Minister received in Riyadh, on Saturday, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati.


During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries, according to the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”.

For his part, the Saudi Crown Prince affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness on Lebanon’s security and stability. He also announced the continuation of the humanitarian support the Kingdom and France provide to the brotherly Lebanese people.

The Lebanese Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the Kingdom’s historical support for Lebanon.


He further highlighted the Kingdom’s essential role in establishing Lebanese reconciliation and consolidating the peace phase after the approval of the National Reconciliation Document at the Taif Conference.


He also affirmed the commitment of the Lebanese government to take all steps to prevent insulting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all Arab countries, especially the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

At the meeting, the importance of electing a president for Lebanon and implementing the reforms aspired to by the Lebanese people and the international community was emphasized.


The Chinese president arrived on last week in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on an official visit that will last until Friday.


Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”, stated that the visit comes at the invitation of the Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and in order to strengthen the historical relations and the distinguished strategic partnership that unites the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China.



During the visit, a Saudi-Chinese summit will be held, chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Chinese President, with the participation of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince, and Prime Minister.



During the visit of the Chinese president, three summits will be held: the Saudi-Chinese, the Gulf-Chinese, and the Arab-Chinese, in the presence of more than 30 leaders of countries and international organizations, which reflects the importance of holding these summits, and the regional and international attention they enjoy.



Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived in Riyadh to attend the Arab-Chinese summit, and the Crown Prince of Kuwait arrived in the Saudi capital to participate in the Arab and Gulf-Chinese summits.
