Birth of Hackathon for Change
Officially formed during the 27th United Nations Climate Change conference, the Hackathon was launched with the theme “Solutions for Change” aiming to drive innovative solutions to environmental challenges across areas of agriculture, circular economy, water security, and renewable energy.
A Regional Undertaking
With separate competitions in Egypt, UAE, Jordan, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia, the initiative provides a regional platform for youth to tackle climate change challenges, embodying a collective effort towards sustainable solutions.
Aiming for Climate Resilience
The current edition of the hackathon aligns with global climate concerns, offering Arab youth a larger role in global climate action.
In collaboration with PepsiCo and Plug and Play, the hackathon under the theme “Youth Solutions to Climate Change” aims to be a significant platform for designing youth-centric solutions.
