Arab coalition destroys Houthi missile, 4 drones targeted KSA
The Arab Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced, on Sunday night, the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile and 4 drones launched by the Iran-backed Houthi militia towards Saudi territory.
The state-run Saudi Al-Ekhbariya channel quoted the coalition to support legitimacy in Yemen as saying that it destroyed a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi militia towards the Jizan region in the southwest of the Kingdom.
The channel stated that the coalition forces intercepted and destroyed 4 drones launched by the Houthi militia from Yemen towards the southern region of Saudi Arabia.
Attacks by the Houthi militia using ballistic missiles and booby-trapped drones are frequent, despite Arab and international calls for a ceasefire.
In a statement, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen, condemned “in the strongest terms the launch by the terrorist Houthi militia of three booby-trapped drones and a ballistic missile in a deliberate manner in an attempt to target civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom.”
The Secretary-General reiterated the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s condemnation of the Houthi terrorist militia’s continued launching of booby-trapped drones towards innocent civilians in the Kingdom, considering it “war crimes”.
Al-Othaimeen affirmed the Organization of Islamic Cooperation‘s stand and solidarity with the Kingdom in all the measures it takes to protect its security and safety of citizens and residents on its lands.
