Al-Sheikh: Friday Speech Should be About Precaution Procedures
The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Dr. Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, is giving new instructions for mosques around Saudia Arabia. He announced that Friday speech should include the precaution procedures to prevent the spreading of coronavirus.
This step came as a part of raising awareness and participating in minimizing the numbers of infected people.
The minister is focusing on the role of mosques in Muslim people. He explained that Friday speech doesn’t necessarily should be linked to religious topics. It could be about any topic that impacts the lives of Muslims in general.
On the other hand, this step shows the place of mosques in Muslims’ lives. Mosques are the place where a person can to pray, learn, and socialize.
Al-Sheikh is praising the efforts that the Saudi government is doing for the citizens and residents. As a result, he recommends that each person and Muslim have the responsibility towards this pandemic. A little effort can mean a lot.
