El-Khereiji Affirms KSA Priority to End Military Operation in Gaza

Walid bin Abdul Karim El-Khereiji, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of KSA, took part in today’s open debate session at the Middle East Security Council Meeting at the United Nations held in New York City.

El-Khereiji made a speech about the Israel- Gaza conflict. He emphasized the dire circumstances and rising tension in Gaza exacerbated by Israel’s ongoing aggression.

 

El-Khereiji Announcements in Middle East Security Council Meeting

He stressed the need for serious action to end this tragedy. Additionally, he requested the Council to take decisive action to stop the killing of defenseless civilians.

He stated that the Kingdom had warned of the conflict’s potential to expand and its impact on regional and global security and stability. Additionally, he talked about KSA’s concerns about the military operations in Yemen and the Red Sea.

El-Khereiji said, “KSA’s priority is to end the military operations in Gaza that are causing suffering to people.”

Moreover, he noted that the world is aware of this war and that all countries bear the responsibility for its effects.

In addition, he emphasized the necessity of taking the required steps to limit the crisis’ effects on surrounding nations. He pointed out the urgent need to find a fair and long-lasting solution to achieve global peace and security.

 

KSA Stand on Israel- Gaza Conflict

He declared that KSA strongly condemns attributing this war to self-defense, as well as the forcible relocation of its inhabitants. According to El-Khereiji, there is an intolerable disrespect for Palestinian human life, which leaves Gaza subject to recurring acts of aggression.

Additionally, El-Khereiji said that KSA will keep promoting peace, exerting its efforts to provide the area security and peace. He affirmed his country’s opposition to violations of humanitarian and international law by any party and under any excuse.

He urged the Council to adopt a strong position to compel the Israeli occupation forces to abide by international law and put an end to this suffering.

Moreover, he emphasized the need to establish independent Palestinian state that upholds the rights and dignity of its citizens.
