Al-Khobar Terrace Redefines Waterfront as Hub for Leisure, Entertainment

The Eastern Region Municipality has officially opened Al-Khobar Terrace, a major waterfront development that aims to improve quality of life while strengthening the city’s standing as a top destination for tourism and entertainment, in line with sustainable urban growth goals.

The terrace features over 20 recreational attractions, including dedicated fitness zones, sports courts, an outdoor skating area, and pedestrian and cycling paths, creating a well-rounded space for both physical activity and relaxation.

Among its highlights are an interactive plaza, landscaped green areas, and seating zones with uninterrupted sea views. The site also boasts a 400-square-meter musical fountain, and artistic installations that contribute to its distinctive visual character.

Visitors can take advantage of modern amenities such as electric vehicle charging stations and a telescopic viewing device—introduced in the Eastern Region for the first time—offering a unique way to experience the waterfront.

Designed to cater to a wide range of visitors, Al-Khobar Terrace reflects ongoing efforts to position the city among the world’s most livable and dynamic urban centers, enhancing both its tourism appeal and overall urban environment.
