Al-Budaiwi Welcomes Yemen-Related Measures Reached by Concerned Parties
His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council for Arab States, Mr. Jasem Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, welcomed the measures reached yesterday by the concerned parties in Yemen, reported Saudi Press Agency.
These measures include ceasefire in Yemen, steps to improve living conditions in Yemen, and preparations to resume a comprehensive political process under the auspices of the United Nations.
Al-Budaiwi expressed hope that these measures will contribute to a comprehensive political solution. Consequently, it would benefit the Yemeni people with prosperity, security, and stability.
He emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to find a political solution to the crisis in Yemen. Moreover, he stressed the importance of supporting the Yemeni people’s efforts in shaping a future roadmap for restoring stability, development, and the prosperity of its people, in line with the aspirations of the brotherly Yemeni people.
He also commended the significant and valuable efforts made by the United Nations, KSA, and Oman. They contributed to reaching these timely important measures.
He pointed out the necessity for all Yemeni parties to commit to implementing these measures to achieve positive outcomes.
In the same vein, the Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman met with the head of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen Rashad Al-Alimi last month.
This high-profile meeting marked a pivotal moment in the ongoing efforts to establish peace and stability in the region.
The encounter between these prominent figures underlined the importance of Saudi Arabia’s role in Yemen’s complex political landscape.
