A veteran coach of Newcastle United announces departure

Steve Bruce the veteran coach of Newcastle United announced his departure on Wednesday, in the first major event since the Saudi administrations purchased the club.

The club published a statement on its official page on Twitter, saying: “Newcastle United announces that Steve Bruce has left his position at the head of the technical staff by mutual consent between the two sides.”

“The club would like to express its gratitude to Steve for his contributions and wishes him success in the future,” Newcastle said in a statement.

The club indicated that Graeme Jones will lead the team temporarily, starting from the team’s match with Crystal Palace in the next round.

Newcastle is set to unveil its next coach in the coming days, with names including Eddie Howe, Lucien Favre, Paul Fonseca, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, and Unai Emery appearing.

It is noteworthy that the Saudi Investment Fund acquired Newcastle FC earlier this month in a deal worth 300 million pounds.
