Riyadh is set to shine this evening as it hosts the sixth edition of the prestigious Joy Awards, reinforcing the Kingdom’s growing position as a global hub for culture and creativity, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Organized by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) as part of Riyadh Season, the ceremony will be graced by the presence of Advisor Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of GEA’s Board of Directors.
The event will honor standout entertainment creators across cinema, drama, music, and sports, alongside leading influencers.
Honorees will be celebrated for works and personalities that left a deep mark on audiences in 2025, with winners selected through public voting on the official Joy Awards application.
Interestingly, the ceremony will draw wide participation from Arab and international stars across the arts and sports sectors, as well as leading content creators and extensive coverage by local and global media outlets.
The Joy Awards will be presented across six key categories, as follows:
- Cinema
- Television drama
- Music
- Directing
- Sports
- Influencers
Within these fields, a vast array of artistic and athletic achievements will compete across various award categories.
The curtain rises at 7:00 p.m. KSA time, with the Joy Awards broadcast live across MBC1, MBC Masr, MBC Iraq, and MBC5, along with the Shahid platform.
The broadcast will feature the lavender carpet ceremony, the awards presentation, artistic segments, musical showcases, and live performances.
The Joy Awards perfectly reflects Saudi Arabia’s emergence as a prestigious hub in the entertainment industry.
