The Saudi-US Investment Forum has kicked off at the Kennedy Center in Washington, with the participation of government officials, business leaders and investors from both countries.
Under the theme “Leadership for Growth: Strengthening the Saudi-US Economic Partnership,” the Saudi Investment Minister, Khalid Al-Falih, launched the forum on Wednesday, announcing landmark billion-dollar business deals, Saudi Gazette reported.
In his opening speech, Al-Falih underscored the depth of the Saudi-US economic partnership. “This is the fourth in a series that started back in 2017 when President Trump chose the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for his first foreign visit as president,” the Saudi Minister said.
Al-Falih also said that the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and US President Donald Trump will address the forum later in the day.
Moreover, Al-Falih noted that the forum builds on Trump’s landmark visit to Saudi Arabia in May 2025, which witnessed the signing of flagship agreements between the two countries during the forum’s inaugural edition in Riyadh.
“We will also witness again the launch of groundbreaking business agreements worth hundreds of billions of dollars, further underscoring the strength of our partnership and ambition,” he said.
Highlighting the strength of the Saudi-US economic partnership, Al-Falih noted that the US is the largest foreign investor in the Kingdom and also the largest recipient of Saudi foreign investments.
Furthermore, he pointed to the expansion of Saudi Arabia’s investment landscape under Vision 2030, which has opened new opportunities in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), technology, finance, defense, aerospace, healthcare and education.
In another major announcement, the CEO of Saudi Aramco, Amin Nasser, said that the Kingdom will sign $30-billion energy agreements with the US during the Investment Forum, reported Al-Arabiya.
