Under the directives of Qassim Governor Prince Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, an introductory workshop for the Health in All Policies (HiAP) Ministerial Committee was held yesterday, with representatives from various government agencies in attendance.
Dr. Nouf Alnumair, Secretary-General of the HiAP Ministerial Committee, delivered a detailed presentation on the concept and objectives of HiAP, which focuses on increasing the average healthy life expectancy by integrating health considerations into all sectors. She highlighted that the initiative seeks to strengthen partnerships and promote collaboration among government entities to support sustainable development.
Qassim is the first region in the Kingdom to host this workshop—a joint initiative between the Ministry of Health and the HiAP Ministerial Committee General Secretariat. The event forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance coordination and unify efforts among government sectors to achieve the health and quality of life objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
