The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has welcomed San Marino’s decision to recognize the State of Palestine, calling it an important step that reflects the growing global consensus on the Palestinian people’s legitimate right to establish an independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The OIC renewed its call on all countries that have yet to recognize Palestine to take this step and to support its full membership in the United Nations. It emphasized that such recognition is vital to ending the occupation, advancing the two-state solution, and promoting justice, peace, and stability across the region.
