On Thursday, the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, arrived in the city of NEOM in an official visit to the Kingdom.

Al-Sisi’s visit aimed at discussing the latest regional developments and fostering the Saudi-Egyptian relations.

During the visit, Al-Sisi held talks with the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, centering on the ongoing war in Gaza.

The visit came after Israel launched a new operation against Gaza City as part of a plan to expand the offensive and occupy Gaza’s largest urban hub.

Furthermore, Israeli far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced that Israel would “bury” the idea of a Palestinian state by dividing the West Bank and cut if off from East Jerusalem.

During his visit to Maale Adumim, Smotrich revealed that both Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump had agreed to the revival of the E1 scheme, a long-delayed settlement.

“Whoever in the world is trying to recognize a Palestinian state today will receive our answer on the ground. Not with documents nor with decisions or statements, but with facts. Facts of houses, facts of neighborhoods,” Smotrich said.

Both leaders also delved into other regional issues, including the situations in Lebanon, Syria, Sudan, Libya, and Yemen, in addition to security in the Red Sea.
