Saudi Arabia strongly condemned Israel’s closure of six UNRWA schools in East Jerusalem on Saturday. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported the Kingdom’s rejection of the order, calling it a violation of Palestinian rights.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the Kingdom’s firm rejection of Israeli authorities’ actions against UNRWA’s humanitarian work. It highlighted Israel’s repeated obstruction of relief efforts, particularly amid global silence.
Call for Global Accountability
The ministry urged the international community to address Israel’s violations, stressing that silence deepens Palestinian suffering. It warned that inaction undermines peace prospects and regional stability. Additionally, Saudi Arabia demanded urgent accountability for Israel’s violations and reiterated support for UNRWA’s critical role. The Kingdom emphasized that education access remains vital for Palestinian dignity and future stability.
Finally, the ministry called for unified efforts to safeguard Palestinian rights, urging nations to uphold legal and moral obligations. It warned that failing to act risks prolonging the conflict.
