The Royal Terminal at King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) has received recognition for providing the best solutions for asset and facility sustainability, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
During the 22nd International Asset, Facility and Maintenance Management Conference in Jeddah, KKIA Royal Terminal received the “Arab Award for Asset, Facility, and Maintenance Management” for providing solutions, programs, and policies for asset and facility sustainability.
This award is in recognition for the continued efforts of Riyadh Airports Company to promote innovative solutions and programs that support the sustainability of the Royal Terminal assets and facilities.
It also highlights the company’s unwavering commitment to improving operational efficiency, in line with the objectives of the National Digital Transformation Program, as an integral part of Saudi Vision 2030 goals.
Under the theme “Sustainable Operational Excellence for Digitalization of Assets, Facility, and Maintenance,” the 22nd International Asset, Facility and Maintenance Management Conference took place from January 26-28, 2025. The Arab Asset, Facility and Maintenance Management Council organized the event, in collaboration with several government entities and local and international organizations.
The conference hosted 11 workshops, 2 training programs on excellence in asset management and professional facility management, in addition to the AFM Expo, in which 60 organizations participated.
Moreover, the conference brought together 100 expert speakers from 24 countries, who shared their expertise through 16 sessions and discussion panels.
The conference also hosted a special session for the International Maintenance Association (IMA), which featured the introduction of a guide for the international project on asset, facility, and maintenance digitization.
