Saudi Museums Commission to Host Manga Hokusai Manga Exhibition on Jan 15

Saudi Arabia’s Museums Commission will launch the Manga Hokusai Manga exhibition to celebrate the works of the renowned Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

In collaboration with the Embassy of Japan and the Japan Foundation, the exhibition will take place at the Saudi Arabia Museum of Contemporary Art (SAMoCA) in JAX Diriyah from January 15 to February 8.

Through the artist’s magnificent artworks, the event will offer exceptional glimpse into the history and evolution of manga.

Furthermore, the exhibition will showcase a comprehensive perspective on how Hokusai’s classical illustrations have great significance in modern visual arts.

In order to enrich the experience of visitors, the event will delve into the deep connection between traditional Japanese art and contemporary visual storytelling.

Therefore, visitors will have an exclusive experience to discover the relation between the past and present of Japanese culture.

As an essential element of Japan’s cultural heritage, manga will enable visitors to discover how traditional art forms have inspired modern manga.
