Saudi Civil Defense Warns of Thunderstorms until Friday

The General Directorate of Civil Defense has issued a warning that there will be thunderstorms in several regions of Saudi Arabia until Friday.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Mecca is anticipated to witness moderate to heavy rainfall, flash floods, hail and strong winds.

Turabah may experience lighter rainfall, while other regions such as Taif, Maysan, Adham and Al-Ardiyat are notably at risk.

Riyadh may face light to moderate rain in Wadi Al-Dawasir, Al-Sulayyil, Al-Aflaj, Hawtah Bani Tamim, and Al-Kharj.

Moreover, certain regions are set to experience Moderate to heavy rainfall such as Baha, Asir, Jazan and Najran, while the Eastern Province may have light showers.

Therefore, the Civil Defense has called on Saudis to practice caution, avoid areas prone to flash floods, including valleys, and refrain from swimming in flooded areas.

It also urged all citizens to stay updated on the latest weather information through various media channels.
