Saudi Deputy FM Participates in Consultative Meeting of Peace Initiatives in Sudan
Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Al-Khuraiji participated on Wednesday in the Second Consultative Meeting Enhancing Coordination of Peace Initiatives and Efforts in Sudan, reported the Saudi Press Agency.
The meeting took place in Djibouti and marked a significant speech by Al-Khuraiji in which he stressed the Kingdom’s unwavering support and efforts to achieve peace and security in Sudan.
Al-Khuraiji stated that Saudi Arabia and the United States facilitated peace talks between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces in Jeddah 1.

As a result, they signed Jeddah Declaration to protect civilians in Sudan and alleviate the Sudanese crisis.
Moreover, the Saudi-American cooperation is closely attempting to urge the two parties to reach a solution to the Sudanese crisis by implementing an immediate ceasefire as a first step to end the existing conflict.
Al-Khuraiji also stressed the Kingdom’s keenness on restoring peace and security to Sudan and urge the Sudanese parties to give priority to wisdom and self-restraint.
