Saudi player Joud Bukhari, won the bronze medal in the 9Ball Ladies and Girls competition of the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports (ACBS), reported Alriyadh newsletter.
12 teams are participating in the competition, which is taking place in Saudi capital, Riyadh, from April 21 to 25.
The President of the Saudi Billiards and Snooker Federation, Nasser Al-Shammari, confirmed that winning the bronze medal during the Saudi women’s team first participation is a great achievement, especially that the female players of the Asian teams are among the best players in the world in billiards competitions.
Al-Shammari stressed that this achievement is the result of the effort, follow-up and support of the Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal.
The Asian competition for women and girls under 17 years will conclude today, Thursday. The final of the tournament will take place at three o’clock in the afternoon, while the closing ceremony will start at five o’clock in the afternoon. The President of the International Snooker Federation, Mubarak Al-Khayarin, Al-Shammari will attend the closing ceremony where the first place holders in the tournament will be crowned.
