KSA to Host “Eltqaa” Merging Saudi, Korean Cultures

“Eltqaa” is an unprecedented artistic event that merges Saudi and Korean cultures. Sponsored by the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts and in partnership with the National University of Korea, the event will take place from November 26 to 28 at the Princess Nourah University (Red Hall) in Riyadh.
Aims of “Eltqaa”
The Royal Institute hosts “Eltqaa annually, showcasing shared arts and integrating various art forms. This event includes theatrical performances and an art exhibition that blends performing arts, music, and visual arts.
Performance Highlights
The show begins with a narrative of Saudi and Korean performers meeting. It features five Saudi and five Korean performing arts, deepening cultural and artistic knowledge.
Finally, the event will conclude with a joint performance, with 50 artists from both countries presenting a blend of tunes from both cultures.
Reflection of Cultural Diversity
The Saudi performance reflects the Kingdom’s cultural diversity, including Samri, Dahha, and Khubaiti.
Moreover, the accompanying art exhibition merges traditional Saudi and Korean arts, displayed in various crafts like metalwork, pottery, woodwork, and hand embroidery.
Saudi Culture Expo
The Saudi Culture Expo held in Paris marked a significant stride in fostering cultural exchange between nations.
Furthermore, the expo was a vibrant showcase of Saudi Arabia’s modern cultural components, stretching from October 28 to November 10.
Orchestrated by the Literary, Publishing, and Translation Commission alongside numerous cultural entities affiliated with the Saudi Ministry of Culture, the expo also cast a spotlight on the creative essence of Saudi Arabia.
Cultural Conglomerate
Various cultural bodies took part in the expo, representing an array of artistic and traditional domains.
These include the Heritage Commission, Libraries, Music, Culinary Arts, Architecture and Design, Fashion, Films, and the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Global Center for Arabic Calligraphy.
The expo also aimed to present the uniqueness and inherent creativity ingrained in Saudi culture over centuries.
