Saudi Crown Prince, Syrian President Map out Path for Regional Stability

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa to Jeddah on Tuesday for high-level talks, marking a pivotal moment as both nations seek to strengthen their bilateral ties and address pressing regional challenges.

During the official session, the two leaders thoroughly reviewed the current state of relations between Riyadh and Damascus. They explored numerous opportunities to support and develop cooperation across various strategic fields to benefit both neighboring populations. Furthermore, the leaders emphasized the importance of historical bonds while committing to a future of mutual prosperity and shared diplomatic goals.

Regional Coordination and Stability

In addition to bilateral matters, the Crown Prince and President al-Sharaa discussed the latest security and political developments across the Middle East. They agreed to coordinate their diplomatic efforts closely to ensure regional stability and mitigate ongoing conflicts in the area. Consequently, this coordination represents a unified approach to safeguarding the interests of the Arab world against external and internal pressures.

A distinguished delegation of Saudi officials attended the meeting, including Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman and Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan. National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban and Saudi Ambassador to Syria Faisal Al-Mujfel also participated in these critical discussions.

On the Syrian side, Minister of Foreign Affairs Asaad Al-Shaibani and Chargé d’Affaires Mohsen Mahbash joined the President during the talks. These officials provided additional technical support to the leaders as they finalized several cooperative agreements during the afternoon session.
