Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, met today with Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, in Islamabad on the sidelines of the quadrilateral ministerial meeting, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The two ministers reviewed the bilateral relations and discussed joint efforts made to address recent developments in the region.
Pakistan is currently hosting a significant quadrilateral meeting of foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey in Islamabad, as it steps up efforts to put an end to the ongoing conflict in Iran.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said in a televised address late Friday that Pakistan was undertaking “sincere and comprehensive diplomatic efforts” to help bring the ongoing conflict to an end.

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iran, targeting its leadership and triggering a new conflict in the Middle East.
Iran has been responding with a retaliatory counterattack in Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi as a retaliatory move, while launching barrages of missiles and drones toward Israel.
