This significant participation aligns perfectly with the ambitious goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to promote culture as a global bridge.
Strengthening Regional Cultural Ties
Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Wasil, CEO of the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, emphasized the Kingdom’s central role in the Arab world. He stated that this invitation reflects the deep-rooted partnership and mutual respect between the Saudi and Syrian people today. Consequently, the Kingdom continues to utilize culture as a vital tool for supporting joint initiatives and fostering constructive regional dialogue.
The Saudi pavilion offers a diverse program featuring intellectual seminars, poetry evenings, and a stunning exhibition of rare historical manuscripts. Visitors can also explore a dedicated Saudi fashion corner and view detailed archaeological replicas that represent the Kingdom’s ancient history. Moreover, traditional performing arts groups provide live displays that showcase the incredible depth and variety of Saudi Arabia’s vibrant cultural heritage.
Following the inauguration, Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa met with Prince Badr at the Conference Palace to discuss bilateral cultural cooperation. Advisor at the Royal Court Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri attended the meeting along with several senior officials from both the Saudi and Syrian delegations. This high-level exchange reaffirms that culture remains the most effective means of fostering understanding and building shared meaning between nations.
