Ramadan 2026: Saudi Arabia Unveils Dates for Sale Season

The Saudi Ministry of Commerce has announced the official dates for Ramadan 2026 sale season, which extends to Eid Al-Fitr.

This year’s sale season will start on February 1, 2026 (Shaaban 13, 1447 AH) and run until March 26, 2026 (Shawwal 7, 1447 AH), the Commerce Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Ramadan sale season covers a wide range of Ramadan products and Eid Al-Fitr essentials. Extending over 54 days, the sale season encourages consumers shop early and avoid the rush of last-minute purchases.

For a seamless service, businesses and e-stores can apply for and obtain sales permits online via the Saudi Commerce Ministry portal. This streamlined process allows them to easily print and display permits to consumers, ensuring they do not lose any days from their annual discount quota.

Furthermore, consumers can check the validity of discounts by scanning the barcode on the sales permit through their mobile camera. This process reveals all the details related to the offer, such as the type and percentage of the discount and the basic data of the facility.

Importantly, the Commerce Ministry emphasized that inspection tours will continue across commercial establishments to verify the legality of discounts and monitor compliance in all regions of the Kingdom.

Ramadan in Saudi Arabia is expected to start on February 18, 2026 and conclude on March 19, 2026, marking the beginning of Eid Al-Fitr on March 20, pending official moon sightings.
