“Wya El Tamr Ahla 2023” dates festival kicks off activities in Al-Ahsa

Al-Ahsa Dates Marketing Festival “Wya El tamr Ahla 2023″ kicked off activities on Tuesday in its eighth edition.

The festival is organized by the Municipality of the Governorate, in cooperation with several partners, in the Al-Ahsa Heritage Municipality Castle.

The Mayor of Al-Ahsa, Engineer Essam Al-Mulla, explained that the Municipality sought to enhance the aspirations aimed at supporting the marketing aspect of Al-Ahsa dates through the establishment of this festival.

A festival like this is considered an appropriate environment for farmers, investors, and consumers to discuss production benefits.

It helps to increase the area of factory and producer exhibitions compared to the previous edition, to accommodate larger numbers of participants.

Al-Mulla stated that the festival will witness the participation of more than 40 handicrafts, and the establishment of various activities that simulate the areas of interest in palm trees and dates in exciting, educational, and purposeful ways.

As part of the festival, folklore will be presented, food trucks will be parked, and 8,000 parking spaces will be allocated.

The previous edition of the festival recorded the attendance of 700,000 visitors at regional and global events. This was amid the achievement of quantum leaps in display and marketing on a larger scale.
