WHO director praises the preventive measures during the Hajj season
The Director of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom, expressed, in a tweet to him on “Twitter”, his welcome to the preventive measures and health measures taken by Saudi Arabia during the Hajj season this year, to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.
WHO chief Adhanom said in his tweet: “As believers gather to perform the Hajj this year, we welcome public health planning, and the steps taken by Saudi Arabia to ensure the safety of pilgrims and their communities during the Corona pandemic.”
WHO chief followed that up with a second tweet, in which he congratulated Muslims on Eid al-Adha, saying: “Eid Mubarak.”
On the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Adha, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, congratulated the Islamic nation on Eid al-Adha, wishing it security, stability, safety, and prosperity, and praising the Kingdom’s efforts in serving the guests of Rahman and limiting the effects of Corona. King Salman added that “and out of our concern for the safety of pilgrims, and to contribute to besieging this epidemic and preventing its spread, the Kingdom has taken a set of organizational and preventive measures during this year’s Hajj season, as required by international health controls and standards
