6th of August As a National Day of Mourning in Lebanon

The Lebanese Minister of Health, Hamad Hassan, revealed the numbers of victims of the explosion that rocked the capital, Beirut, during the past few days.


He said that the preliminary outcome indicates that the number of deaths reached 73, and more than 3,700 others were injured as a result of being in the vicinity of the explosion.


In fact, the Lebanese Prime Minister, Han Diab, declared that Wednesday, 6th of August 2020, is a day of national mourning for the victims of the explosion.


The fire has broken out in the port of Beirut, which led to a large explosion, the effects of which reached the surrounding sites even after 5 kilometers from the site of the explosion in the center of the Lebanese capital.
