The General Transport Authority reiterated the numerous advantages of using frequent buses at the Kingdom’s airports.
The Authority added, through the X platform, that these buses provide a safe and reliable transportation experience for beneficiaries at the Kingdom’s airports around the clock.
The Authority continued that these buses carry advantages that include continued availability, and are modern, equipped with the necessary technical specifications, easy to access and low cost.
The Authority announced the allocation of 3,000 buses to transport Umrah pilgrims during Ramadan 2024 and published a parking map. The city of Makkah contains multiple parking lots for vehicles during the month of Ramadan. These parking lots aim to provide comfortable means of transportation for Umrah pilgrims and visitors coming to perform Umrah and visit during this holy month.
The Wafada Volunteer Association launched a free transportation initiative for volunteers serving visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque during Ramadan. Two routes, “Urwa Neighborhood – Prophet’s Mosque” and “Shazah Neighborhood – Prophet’s Mosque,” are operational throughout the holy month. Buses run regularly from 4 PM until one hour after Tarawih prayers, and during the last ten days of Ramadan until half an hour after the prayer
The service comes within the efforts prepared by the entities participating in providing services to the guests of God, visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque, in coordination with the General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, the Medina Region Development Authority, and relevant authorities.
