Based on the latest version of the Times Classification of Specializations for 2023, there are now 21 Saudi universities in the classification, up from 6 in 2019.

Saudi universities were distinguished in 10 major disciplines out of the 11 majors in which international universities are ranked.

According to what was mentioned on the official website of the ministry, Saudi universities have managed to acquire a number of international ranks.

 Saudi Arabia ranked 47th globally in physical sciences, 56th globally in computer sciences, and 57th globally in engineering.

The Kingdom’s universities ranked highest in the rankings of 19 health specializations, and 18 Saudi universities were ranked in engineering and physical sciences.

Saudi universities have succeeded in achieving a qualitative leap with an increase of 40% in the global university ranking indicators compared to last year

In the classification indicators and university standards, 21 Saudi universities were included among the international universities.

The ranking witnessed the attendance of 6 Saudi universities for the first time, and King Abdulaziz University was ranked 101 in the world, topping the Saudi universities.

 Next up was King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, followed by King Saud University, and then Al-Faisal University was fourth.

The Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, which is witnessing its presence for the first time in the classification, was ranked fifth.

In support of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, Saudi universities continue to demonstrate the pioneering role they play and the unlimited support they receive from wise leadership.
