Saudi Arabia wins a bid to host the Exceptional Posts Conference 2023
Saudi Arabia won the right to host the Exceptional Posts Conference 2023 in a recent meeting of the General Committee of the Universal Postal Union’s Board of Directors.
At this conference, postal sector actors from 192 countries discussed the union’s opening to them.
The victory demonstrates the Kingdom’s active role in international organizations and its contributions toward fostering cooperation among member states to promote postal services. As well as demonstrating the ambitious initiatives and future projects that are in keeping with Vision 2030.
By this victory, the Kingdom will be the third Arab country to host the Universal Postal Union conferences.
The importance of hosting lies in attracting a number of government representatives and leaders of the postal sector in the member states of the Universal Postal Union and others.
In keeping with the Kingdom’s aim of achieving its ambitious vision for 2030, this hosting is part of efforts to familiarize the world with its influence at different levels. It also aims to develop the postal and logistic sector in line with the national strategy for transport and logistics.
This conference offers the opportunity to showcase the kingdom’s advanced ability to host highly professional and meticulous meetings. Its rich land, ancient history, and friendly people will also be showcased.
