The Southern Side from Saudi Arabia is Expecting a Solar Eclipse

The president of Jeddah Astronomy Society has announced the expectation studies of a potential solar eclipse in the coming days.

The president of the society, Majid Abu Zahra, said that this would be the first annular eclipse in the year 2020. This kind of eclipse is scarce to happen; the edges of the sun remain visible as a bright ring around the moon.

This annular eclipse will be bright for the southern side of Saudi Arabia and other places in the Arabian peninsula. However, the situation will be different in other areas of the MENA region.
