
The Red Sea International Film Festival is currently accepting submissions for its fourth edition.
Filmmakers from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, Asia, and Africa are invited to submit their films for the Red Sea: Competition and Red Sea: Shorts Competition sections. Additionally, the festival is featuring the New Saudi/New Cinema section, dedicated to highlighting the talents and creative achievements of Saudi filmmakers. The deadline for submissions is on August 22.
Films featured in the event will compete for the esteemed Yusr Awards, including the Red Sea Golden Yusr Award for Best Film in Competition. It also comes with a cash prize of $100,000. Other awards include Best Direction, the Jury Prize, and Best Short Film.
Moreover, the upcoming festival will be held from December 5 to 14 in Al Balad, Jeddah. It will offer opportunities for emerging directors and filmmakers to showcase their work.
The festival remains a central hub for film lovers, creators, and industry professionals worldwide, featuring notable film screenings.
Furthermore, it explores the rediscovery of classic masterpieces and restored works through innovative, audio-visual storytelling that challenges conventions and merges reality with fantasy.
