The General Authority for Statistics announced today, Sunday, an increase in non-oil exports by 22.8% in September 2024. National non-oil exports, excluding re-exports, also rose by 11.6%. The value of re-exported goods increased by 65.4% during the same period, according to the International Trade Bulletin for September 2024.
The results of the bulletin indicated a decrease in merchandise exports in September 2024 by 14.9%, while the share of oil exports in total exports dropped from 79.7% in September 2023 to 70.7% in September 2024.
The bulletin also reported a 15.0% increase in imports to the Kingdom in September 2024. In terms of the merchandise trade balance, the surplus decreased by 56.9% compared to September 2024.
Additionally, the bulletin showed an increase in the share of non-oil merchandise exports to 37.1% in September 2024, due to the rise in non-oil exports by 22.8% compared to a 15.0% increase in imports.
