Saudi’s Participation in COMEUP 2023: Leap Forward in Entrepreneurship, Innovation
Saudi Arabia’s participation in COMEUP 2023, held from November 8 to 10 in Seoul, South Korea, marked a significant milestone in global entrepreneurship and innovation.
Organized by the Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Korea Startup Forum, and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (KISED).
Saudi Arabia’s Pioneering Role
Saudi Arabia, represented by Monsha’at (the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority), participated actively in COMEUP 2023, showcasing its burgeoning startup and SME ecosystem.
This participation was not only a testament to Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship but also an integral part of its Vision 2030, aimed at diversifying its economy and promoting non-oil sector growth.
Sami Al Hussaini, the Governor of Monsha’at, emphasized the importance of international collaboration and the role of events like COMEUP 2023 in driving the transformation of the Saudi SME sector.
This event also served as a platform to strengthen business ties with South Korea; Saudi Arabia has welcomed Korean startups and investors in previous editions of similar events.
