The Aviation Challenge (TAC) 2024 honored the airline with the prestigious “Greatest Progress in Adoption of TAC Solutions” award. This accolade celebrates Saudia’s exceptional strides in adopting and scaling innovative sustainability solutions across its operations.
Organized by SkyTeam, The Aviation Challenge encourages airlines worldwide to adopt sustainable practices throughout their operations. The 2024 challenge emphasized scaling innovations and integrating sustainability into broader business strategies.
Aligning with Saudi Vision 2030
Saudia’s participation reflects its strategic vision for promoting sustainability, as outlined in Saudi Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This commitment underscores its dedication to achieving net-zero targets through industry-wide collaboration.

Previous Accolades in Sustainable Practices
In 2023, Saudia participated in the challenge, then known as The Sustainable Flight Challenge (TSFC), securing awards for Most Innovative Ground Operations and Best Employee Engagement and Collaboration.
Established in 1945, Saudia has grown into one of the Middle East’s largest airlines. The airline operates one of the youngest fleets, comprising 144 aircraft, serving around 100 destinations across four continents, including all 28 domestic airports in Saudi Arabia.

Saudia is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO). It joined the SkyTeam alliance in 2012, enhancing its global connectivity and service standards. Recently, Saudia received the “World Class Airline 2025” award from The APEX Official Airline Ratings™ for the fourth consecutive year. The airline also climbed 11 places in the Skytrax World Best Airlines 2023 ranking, showcasing its commitment to excellence.
