Saudi Yazeed Al-Rajhi heads the strong field for Rally
The Saudi world champion and championship title holder, Yazeed bin Mohammed Al-Rajhi, was crowned the champion of the Asir Rally
Al-Rajhi formed the first round of the Saudi Toyota Desert Rally Championship, organized by the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF).
He won first place on his first appearance in the general classification with a total time of 3:19:58.7 hours in a Toyota Hilux by 26:01.5 minutes.
Al-Rajhi, was accompanied by navigator Dirk von Zetsewitz. They achieved the fastest times, leading in both stages of the race, with a total distance of 769.10 km in the special stages.
The race took place between Al-Ghada, Qarn Al-Qalah, and Tarib in Abha from 21-24 December.
The holder of the Saudi championship, Al-Rajhi, expressed his great happiness in this rally, which coincided with the National Day for the Unification of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, saying:
He stated, “It was a wonderful event and I will never forget it. I won the rally in my homeland among my fans and my loved ones, and on the most precious occasion, which is the occasion of National Day.

Al-Rajhi concluded by saying: “I am happy with this result and I ask God to help me in the upcoming rounds to defend my title. I also thank Toyota for their generous sponsorship of the Saudi Toyota Cross Country Rally Championship and my sponsorship of me personally.
Dirk also expressed his happiness, saying: “Overall, the Asir Rally was a high level of challenge and excitement more than we imagined, it was a great workout for us.”
