Saudi stadiums implement the first virtual presence

Al-Wehda club distributed 100 photos of the club’s fans on the chairs of the volleyball hall stands, during the meeting between Al-Wehda and Al-Ahly Club in the Saudi Volleyball Federation Cup final, in Al-Wehda club hall this afternoon, Saturday.

A member of Al-Wehda stand, Abdul Razzaq Mahboub, told Al-Arabiya.net: The club’s fans ’photos were distributed, and the club’s stand has set social distancing as a default process for public attendance at sports stadiums.

He said, “A number of flags and club slogans were distributed in gymnasium, this initiative is the first of its kind in the Saudi stands, with the support of the club’s management represented by the game supervisor Faisal Qaid and the work of the historic Al-Wehda Stadium group.”

He added, “Our goal from this gesture is to instruct the unit’s fans to exist despite the prohibition of the precautionary attendance, and the club’s management’s appreciation for the audience’s role, as well as to instill enthusiasm in the players and support them.”

In a related development, the President of the Saudi Volleyball Federation, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Babtain, today crowned Al-Ahly team with the Saudi Volleyball Federation Cup, after defeating Al-Wehda team by three runs in the final match that brought them together at Al-Wehda club hall in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, to achieve the second championship in this season after achieving it League title.
