The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Saudi Reef) has provided SAR 2.4 billion in financial support to beneficiaries, achieving significant strides in enhancing rural communities across Saudi Arabia. This milestone reflects the program’s progress through the end of 2024.
Majed Al-Buraikan, Assistant Secretary-General for Media and Communication at Saudi Reef, highlighted the program’s 2024 accomplishments, focusing on supporting small farmers and rural producers while advancing sustainable rural development. He also underscored the program’s critical role in improving the livelihoods of farmers and productive families in various sectors, aligning with the broader goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Al-Buraikan emphasized that Saudi Reef’s substantial financial contributions aim to enhance the living standards of rural families and boost the productive capacities of small farmers and producers. Moreover, the program has supported more than 77,400 beneficiaries, including 57,400 women and 20,000 men. This reflects its commitment to empowering rural women as key contributors to productivity and sustainability.
