Saudi newspapers celebrate Hilal as league champion
Saudi newspapers celebrated recently Al Hilal’s winning of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Cup League, for the 18th time in its history.
Al Hilal FC topped the Saudi Professional League standings with 67 points, from winning 20 matches, drawing 7, losing 3 matches, and scoring 63 goals.
The difference between Al Hilal and Al-Ittihad Jeddah, the runners-up, was two points with 65 points, which tied negatively with Al-Batin in the same round.
Al Hilal tops the list of the most successful Saudi League title winners with 18 titles in its exceptional career, which started in the 1976-1977 season, reaching the title of the current season 2021-2022.
The Saudi newspaper, “Al-Riyadia”, published a picture of the Al-Hilal players at the moment of holding the Saudi League title, and commented, “The leader .. presented them and preceded them.”
“Al-Sharq al-Awsat” newspaper dealt with the crowning of Al-Hilal with this title, “Al-Hilal is a champion of the league… and Al-Ahly is bid farewell to tears.”
While Al-Madina newspaper commented, “Al-Hilal is the league champion… and Al-Ahly is relegated.”
The Saudi newspaper “Al-Bilad” also sheds light on the landing of the people of Jeddah, saying, “The earthquake of landing hits the Castle of Cups.”
