Saudi Minister of Finance Participates in Berlin Global Dialogue
Saudi Minister of Finance, Mohammed Al-Jadaan participated in the 2024 Berlin Global Dialogue on October 1 and 2. The event, held at the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) campus in Berlin, brought together government and business leaders in Berlin, according to a press release from the ministry.
Investments for Innovation, Industrial Transformation
Speaking at a session titled “How to Mobilize Private Investments for Innovation and Industrial Transformation,” Al-Jadaan highlighted the key factors for sustainable growth: long-term planning, stable and predictable policies, and strong public-private partnerships (PPP). Additionally, he underscored the need to maintain global dialogue through multilateral institutions to tackle critical global challenges.
Al-Jadaan stressed the importance of investing in the upkeep and improvement of multilateral trade systems, noting that doing so would help reduce economic risks and challenges while fostering equitable growth across societies. He also highlighted that Saudi Arabia is leveraging its technological advantages to promote both its national goals and the interests of other nations.
He said: “We cannot have prosperity in the world without a very clear environment that supports innovation and technology, and then sharing them particularly with low-income nations and the emerging markets.”
Building Common Ground
The minister also held discussions with government officials and prominent international investors to explore opportunities for collaboration and partnership with Saudi Arabia, strengthening the Kingdom’s leading presence at various international events.
Furthermore, under the theme “Building Common Ground,” this year’s Berlin Global Dialogue serves as a platform for open communication and collaboration between government leaders, entrepreneurs, and academics from around the world. The event will focus on addressing global economic challenges and formulating effective policies and solutions to tackle these pressing issues.
