Saudi, Japan Forge Strategic Alliance to Secure Regional Stability and Energy Flows

The two leaders discussed the ongoing Middle East conflict for thirty minutes and emphasized the urgent need for a permanent agreement. Prime Minister Takaichi outlined Japan’s firm position while stressing that de-escalating current tensions remains essential for global peace and maritime safety. Consequently, both leaders agreed to coordinate their efforts to prevent further disruption to vital shipping lanes during this volatile period.

In response, Takaichi expressed deep gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s vital crude oil supplies and called for continued collaboration on energy. Saudi Arabia also received praise for its critical role in helping Japanese nationals safely evacuate from neighboring countries via Riyadh.

Looking ahead, both leaders committed to deepening bilateral ties through the Strategic Partnership Council to achieve their shared economic goals. They prioritized future-focused sectors including e-sports, gaming, space exploration, and artificial intelligence to drive innovation in both of their nations.

Finally, the leaders expressed mutual excitement for Riyadh Expo 2030, which will serve as a global platform for further investment.
