Saudi Embassy in Ireland Honors Female Pioneers in Various Fields

The Acting Chargé d’Affaires at the Saudi Embassy in Ireland, Abdulsalam bin Abdullah Al-Mushaiti, held a ceremony to honor several Saudi female pioneers who excelled in various fields, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

During the ceremony, attended by Acting Head of the Saudi Cultural Attaché in Dublin, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Fahd Al-Fuhaid, Al-Mushaiti underlined the remarkable accomplishments of Saudi women in different fields. He also highlighted the continued and unwavering support of the Saudi leadership for empowering women and enhancing their skills and achievements on the local and international levels.

The Acting Chargé d’Affaires honored many Saudi women for their successes in various fields. Among them was Dr. Janan Al-Dihan, who made significant contributions to helping Saudi students in Ireland through organizing many activities and events.

Moreover, Al-Mushaiti honored Samar bint Abdulmohsen Al-Sultan, one of the first Saudi females who pioneered in the field of technology through her work in Meta and one of the shortlisted candidates to three esteemed technology awards presented by JP Morgan.

Additionally, the Acting Chargé d’Affaires honored student Wad Adnan Bakdam for winning the gold medal at the ITEX 2024 international competition in Malaysia, and developing an electronic application that helps medicine students in their academic study. She also participated in several research projects in the Trinity College and the University of Dublin in Ireland, and served as deputy head of department at the Irish Global Health Network.
