Saudi Education Minister announces a mechanism to resume study in the New Year

The Saudi Minister of Education, Hamad bin Muhammad Al Al-Sheikh, announced the mechanism of returning to study in the new year, which requires that it be launched remotely for all stages of public education during the first 7 weeks of the year.

Al-Sheikh added, in statements he made today, on Saturday that the decision also applies to theoretical courses in universities and technical education and in preparation for practical courses, as a precautionary measure in the face of the spread of the new Corona virus.

He pointed out that the remote study will start on the first of next September, provided that “a complete re-evaluation of the situation is to determine the status of the study for the rest of the weeks of the first semester, according to the changes and developments.”

Saudi Arabia has recorded nearly 297,000 cases of the emerging coronavirus so far.
