Saudi Development Fund Participates in AidEx 2024 in Geneva

The Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) has participated in the Global Humanitarian Aid Event (AidEx) in Geneva, Switzerland, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Held on October 23-24, 2024, AidEx, the world’s leading humanitarian aid and disaster relief event, featured high-level conference sessions, workshops, discussion groups, case studies, and training programs designed to address the challenges in aid.

Under the theme “Revitalizing Humanitarian Assistance – How do we deliver better aid in conflict-affected hot spots?”, the event aimed to explore innovative approaches for more effective aid delivery. It also served as a platform to explore solutions, share insights, and foster collaboration to meet the urgent challenges of humanitarian assistance in conflict-ridden regions.

The SFD’s participation in AidEx aligns with its active role in promoting international development in collaboration with development institutions and funds. It also fosters cooperation with international organizations and partners to achieve sustainable development worldwide.

As part of its participation, the SFD showcased its development projects and programs, allowing visitors to explore its developmental activities across the world since its establishment in 1974, with the aim of improving the lives of millions in developing countries.

Moreover, the SFD’s Director of Partnerships Department, Shujaa Al-Ossaimi, took part in a panel discussion in AidEx, titled “Partnering for the long-term – How do you keep partners engaged in protracted and forgotten crises?” He highlighted the SFD’s efforts in addressing global development challenges and finding sustainable solutions to mitigate their impacts.

The participation of the Saudi Development Fund in AidEx is part of its efforts to strengthen partnerships and collaboration in order to support the global development sectors to achieve sustainable development in developing countries around the world.
