Prince Khalid bin Salman, Minister of Defense, met recently in Riyadh with the Chief of Staff of the Pakistani Army, Lieutenant General Asim Munir.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Defense congratulated First Lieutenant General Asim Munir on his appointment as Chief of Staff of the Pakistani Army.

During the meeting, they emphasized the strength and durability of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. They also discussed military and defense cooperation, and ways to support and enhance them.

The two sides also discussed the most prominent regional and international issues of common interest.

On the Saudi side, the meeting was attended by the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Fayyad Al-Ruwaili, and the Assistant Minister of Defense, Talal Al-Otaibi.

Also among the attendees were the Director General of the Office of the Minister of Defense, Hisham bin Saif, and the military attaché at the Kingdom’s embassy in Pakistan, Major General Pilot Awad Al-Zahrani.

On the Pakistani side, the Ambassador of the Republic of Pakistan to the Kingdom, Amir Rathore, the Secretary of the Chief of Staff of the Pakistani Army, Major General Muhammad Irfan, and the Pakistani Military Attaché to the Kingdom, Brigadier General Muhammad Asim, attended the ceremony.
