Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce announced Sunday the recall of 1,778 BAIC BJ40 vehicles, manufactured between 2021 and 2025, citing certain defects in the brake system, according to the Saudi Gazette.
BAIC has identified a defect in the brake booster that may compromise braking performance during driving, heightening the risk of accidents.
The ministry urged BAIC BJ40 owners to verify whether their vehicle’s chassis number is listed in the recall by visiting Recalls.sa.
Then, they should contact the local dealer, Petromin Automotive Company, via the toll-free number 8004420020 to secure free repairs.
The ministry also noted that citizens can follow all recall campaigns for defective goods and products through the Defective Products Recall Center website, Recalls.sa.
