Saudi Commerce Minister, Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi, sponsored recently the second edition of the Gulf Forum for Entrepreneurs, which is organized by the Public Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Monshaat.
The forum witnessed the presence of the Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, and several leaders of trade and industry in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The ministerial session brought together the trade ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries with entrepreneurs, within the activities of the Gulf Entrepreneurs Forum
At the beginning of the session, Minister Al-Qasabi welcomed the guests, stressing the importance of the conference in sharing opportunities among the Gulf countries while continuing to hold it.
He said: “The standardization of standards among the Gulf countries saves on the business environment, and facilitates the export and control process”.
The participating ministers confirmed that small and medium enterprises constitute 80% of the economies that have achieved miracles in the world.
The session dealt with the most important successful projects from which many lessons learned can be drawn.
The forum witnessed the announcement of the establishment of a platform for Gulf entrepreneurs; Provides data and information to identify investment opportunities in the region.
The forum’s activities included an introduction to the entrepreneurship environment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and several meetings and sessions.
The forum witnessed the signing of an agreement between the Omani Behar Marketing Platform Company and the Al-Faneh Development and Investment Company in the Kingdom; intending to link the Saudi and Omani markets to provide Omani fish products.
