Saudi Bahraini Investment Company, Mumtalakat Sign Strategic Investment Deal

During the fourth meeting of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council in Manama, co-chaired by the Saudi and Bahraini Crown Princes, the Saudi Bahraini Investment Company (SBIC), owned by PIF, announced a new agreement with Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company. The deal aims to expand investment cooperation between the two entities, pending completion of due diligence and other requirements.

The agreement outlines the creation of a joint investment program targeting opportunities that support economic growth and meet rising demand for goods and services in both Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The program will focus on investing in established companies with strong prospects for expansion, as well as launching new ventures.

Joint investment initiatives will cover a range of strategic sectors in Bahrain, including information technology, media and telecommunications, financial services, education, logistics, advanced construction materials, manufacturing, infrastructure, aerospace services, and real estate.

This collaboration is aligned with SBIC’s strategy to identify promising investment opportunities and cultivate long-term partnerships that deliver sustainable returns while fostering development across both markets. It also reflects PIF’s commitment to driving economic transformation within Saudi Arabia and supporting growth at the regional and global levels. Similarly, the agreement reinforces Mumtalakat’s efforts to advance economic diversification, strengthen local impact, and create employment opportunities.

Established in 2022 as part of PIF’s regional investment strategy, the Saudi Bahraini Investment Company maintains an office in Manama and aims to empower the private sector to expand its investments across both countries.

This latest agreement builds on a Memorandum of Understanding signed in March 2024 between PIF and Mumtalakat, which sought to enhance cooperation between the two organizations.
