Saudi Armed Forces Wrap up ‘Eager Lion 2024’ Drill in Jordan

Saudi Armed Forces have concluded the ‘Eager Lion 2024’ military exercise held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan from May 12-23, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA). With the participation of 32 countries, various units of Saudi Armed Forces, including land, sea and air defense forces, have applied numerous combat scenarios and implemented missile air defense operations.

The scenarios included various drills that trained the participants on threats and challenges similar to those faced by the Arab region to safeguard border security and combat terrorism. Furthermore, the exercise focused on collective drills that aimed to enhance the concept of joint action such as joint targeting, missile defense, and anti-terrorism operations in populated areas.

The participants also conducted hostages releasing operations and defense and attack operations with mechanisms and tanks.

Themed “Senior Leaders”, the Armed Forces held a fruitful symposium in which they discussed “modern wars, their impact, the rehabilitation and preparation of supreme military leaders.”

It is noteworthy that “Eager Lion drill” represents one of the largest military exercises in the region, designed to exchange military expertise and improve interoperability among partner nations.
