Saudi Arabia and Tunisia have discussed fostering economic and industrial cooperation between the two countries, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
On the sidelines of the 12th session of the Saudi-Tunisian Joint Committee in Riyadh, the Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef, met with the Tunisian Minister of Economy and Planning, Samir Abdelhafid, to explore avenues for strengthening economic and industrial integration.
During their meeting, the two ministers discussed expanding prospects for Saudi-Tunisian cooperation across a number of strategic economic fields. They also discussed ways to address challenges facing exporters and investors and explored suitable solutions.
The meeting aimed to increase bilateral trade and achieve the sustainable development goals of both countries. Furthermore, it highlighted the vital role of the Saudi-Tunisian Joint Committee in boosting economic and industrial integration between the two countries.

The meeting also praised the efforts of the working groups and government representatives on both sides, which contributed to including 100 items in the committee’s minutes, covering 15 areas of cooperation across strategic sectors such as energy, industry, mining, logistics, trade, and human resources development.
The 12th session of the Saudi-Tunisian Joint Committee concluded on Sunday with signing 5 agreements, memoranda of understanding (MoUs), and executive programs which enhance economic integration between Saudi Arabia and Tunisia in the sectors of customs, mining, postal services, and media.
